Hello world and welcome to Kodylegs. We are starting this site for a specific purpose! What's that you say? To get Kody new legs of course! Who? Kody is our German Shepherd. He has no legs? Heh - he does currently have legs, but he's “older” for his breed and has arthritis. He is otherwise healthy, but his arthritis wears him out sooner and sooner every walk.
So what can we do when our pooch’s mind is still young and he wants to play, but his legs have other plans? We’ve tried everything under the sun. There are some decent solutions out there, but many involve drugs and nothing really deals with the problem 100%. We'd prefer to remedy his arthritis rather than band-aiding the issue.
In our quest for a solution we came across stem cell therapy for dogs. It's expensive though - between 2 and 3 thousand bucks! How to raise that? What if it doesn't work?
We decided to start KodyLegs to address these questions. So is this like a donation website? At the moment we do have a tip jar somewhere on the side panel, but that's the least of it. This site isn't just looking for handouts! Our goal is to come up with something compelling to offer the community:
- First: This site represents the documentation of all things related to Kody and our strategies of helping him. We hope it will become useful for others.
- Second: We will toil to create fun applications and games that you might have bought anyway, but feel good buying because you know where the money goes!
- Third: An upbeat tone on a serious issue. We don't want a doom and gloom website!
We look forward to exploring the issue and our strategy together!
